Accommodation

Le Petit Manoir du Tartre can accommodate up to 7 people in comfort without resorting to sofa beds or bunk beds!

Ground Floor

Kitchen / Dining Room

Original Charentaise stone fireplace housing a wood burning stove.  The well equipped kitchen has  a dishwasher, microwave, electric oven, gas hob and extractor, fridge/freezer, kettle, cafetiere, toaster etc. There is a farmhouse table and dining chairs plus ample good quality, matching crockery, cutlery and glasses.  The laundry area is separate from the kitchen and contains a washing machine (tumble drier out of season), china sink, pegs, iron, ironing board &etc.

Lounge

The  beautifully proportioned lounge has three large windows, comfortable sofas and chairs with side tables.  A Louis Philippe walnut armoire houses the TV with satellite DVD, Video, CD player plus a selection of videos, tapes, board games, jigsaws and books.  There is an escritoire for writing your letters and postcards.

Breakfast room

There is a separate breakfast room with dining table (perfect for jigsaw puzzles!), sideboard and chairs.  From here you may like to stroll through the French windows into the garden. 

First Floor

All bedrooms are well furnished with wardrobes, chests of drawers and bedside cabinets.

Bedroom 1: with fabulous views to 2 sides – one  overlooking the pool and woods beyond, a large double sized bed, en-suite shower room, shower, washbasin and W.C.

Bedroom 2: With original Breton large double bed.

 Bedroom 3:  Charentaise bateau-lit small double bed and a single bed,  views to 2 sides.

The house is oil fired centrally heated throughout, with the additional log burning stoves making it wonderfully cosy for winter holidays.

 Linen

All bed linen, duvets, pillows and towels are provided, including kitchen towels and tea towels, but please bring your own beach/pool towels.

Outside The fabulous swimming pool has Roman steps making it easy for children and older visitors to enjoy swimming. There is non slip paving all around the pool, with ample pool furniture and a solar shower. The barn has a table tennis table and is a lovely shaded spot. There is a barbeque and garden furniture enabling visitors to enjoy eating outdoors. The totally enclosed sunny grounds are lawned with many old trees providing dappled shade; there are various outbuildings and private parking. Four bicycles are available for your enjoyment.

The lovely pool is 10.5 metres x 5 metres and has a depth of 1 to 2.1 metres complete with a safety ledge. The pool fully complies with all French safety regulations, having both an AFNOR approved pool alarm as well as being totally fenced off from the rest of the garden.
