Le Petit Manoir du Tartre is a beautiful Charentaise house which has been professionally restored by French craftsmen. In a tiny hamlet, near the Gironde Estuary with its fantastic array of flora and fauna, Le Petit Manoir is situated in a protected nature area and has glorious views towards the Gironde, with its own wooded land and huge barn detached from the house. The area is rich in wildlife and perfect for cycling and walking. Le Petit Manoir is close to 3 delightful small ports with a range of restaurants and bars and is only 20 minutes from award winning sandy beaches. The high standard renovation has retained original features such as wooden floors and exposed beams. Le Petit Manoir du Tartre is furnished with both comfort and elegance in mind, a mixture of local antique and modern furniture, making it a stylish and supremely comfortable home in which to unwind.
This fantastic holiday home offers you three bedrooms, three W.C.s and two beautifully tiled shower rooms.
The secluded pool is 10.5 metres x 5 metres and has a depth of 1 to 2.1 metres complete with a safety ledge. There is a solar shower and ample pool furniture for a wonderful relaxing holiday.
This lovely home is centrally heated and is perfect for a cosy winter get away; why not come and experience the grape harvest in October or Christmas shopping at the local markets? Conjure up a gastronomic feast in the newly installed, superbly equipped kitchen. "We so loved your house. Felt at home almost straight away. It was all so perfect, you even did some food shopping for us which was so appreciated. The welcome was perfect, fresh flowers and wine. Fabulous that you had Sky TV! Having the 4 children means you don't get out as much as you'd like, so it really was a home from home, so comfortable with everything we needed. The children were catered for very well too, all of my boys just loved it here and your fabulous swimming pool was the focus of our holiday. They preferred it to the gorgeous beaches on offer! We had many table tennis tournaments during our visit too! It is such a relaxing environment, great climate and the locals are super friendly. All in all we loved our holiday, and hope to come back very soon. This has to be one of the best holidays we've had. I would have no hesitation in recommending you to all my family and friends." "Really lovely old house, with an ideal setting near both St R. & St Thomas de Conac. Brilliant views of the Estuary and of the various vineyards that lay around. Top Temperature of 37˚C made a brilliant change from the gloom of England & was well received by all the family! With the pool added in, it truly made for an unforgettable experience! (especially for Ed. , who came off worse for wear with the rays!) Fantastic beaches all around, both close and further afield, in the case of the Côte Sauvage - well worth a trip. "We have had a great, relaxing holiday here in Le Petit Manoir. The house is lovely, and pool and table tennis well used by all of us - not just the boys! Highlights of our stay included days out to Royan (lovely town), exploring the Medoc (ferry from Blaye to Lamarque) and surfing at the Atlantic beaches. Also had a lovely lunch at the nature reserve at Vitrezay. We have been very lucky with the weather, it has been very warm and mostly sunny just about every day.
